ADVANTECH Identifies Trends for the Industry, Announces 2003 IPO

ADVANTECH announced several new partnerships at its "eAutomation with Global Partners Conference" held July 20 - 22 in Cincinnati, Ohio, U.S.A. that will lead the industrial automation industry into the millennium. This Taiwan-based corporation, which boasts more than 1,000 employees in more than 10 countries, has introduced itself as a leader in a new era in automation - web-enabled solutions.

Panel PC-100 Windows CE Platform Solution

ADVANTECH announces the PPC-100-GNI, an open and compact Windows CE embedded HMI solution. This package features an all-in-one 486 panel PC, 10.4" flat panel display (DSTN and TFT) with VGA (480 x 640) resolution, resistive touchscreen, 10Base-T Ethernet, four serial ports, 5x86-133 CPU, 32MB DRAM, and ISA-bus expansion slot. With built-in Windows CE environment and ADVANTECH HMI software runtime, it makes the HMI applications easy for end users and vendors to use off-the-shelf hardware and software.

The ADAM-5090 is a four-port RS-232 module, enriching in your SCADA integration abilities. Most of the controllers in the market limited serial interfacing with 3rd party device. An open structure module, ADAM-5090 provides four serial communication ports for various applications, bar code reading, modem transmission, telephone paging, and redundant controller system.

Advantech IAG S/W team has released the new ADAM OPC server and ModBus OPC server for Windows NT and Windows CE platforms, which are ready for shipment in April. These new OPC servers are developed by ICONICS OPC Toolkit version 2.0 and are compliant with the OPC specification 2.0.
