Continuing
the lead in eAutomation products for the factory floor, ADVANTECH
today launched the Web-Link 2000 - a web server embedded device
- that connects any device or legacy system to the Internet. From
graphical operator panels to valve controllers, ADVANTECH customers
will now be able to gather mission-critical information from anywhere
in the world and economically dispense that information to the
proper audience.
Through the Web-Link 2000, a company can access real time data,
monitor and manage a device through the network, or even the Internet,
without upgrading or re-designing the system. Technicians can
predict repairs and respond to problems more quickly, and utility
owners can track energy utilization and room temperatures through
the Internet. If there are alarms or events that happen in the
control system, Web-Link 2000 will also notify persons through
email.
Web-Link 2000 can easily connect the existing system to the web
through features that include OPC standard connection capability
such as the Allen-Bradley PLC, Profibus DP compatible PLC, Modbus
RTU/TCP compatible PLC, OMRON C type PLC, Mitsubishi
FX series, and A type PLC and ADAM series. Other features are
an embedded Windows CE and web server bundled, a PC-104 Expansion
Port and system default configuration/diagnostic utility HTML.
