to announce the Modbus package, a demo system for ADAM-4572, ADAM-5511,
and Modbus/TCP OPC Server units.
Modbus is considered the most popular and cost effective network
solution, allowing rapid and flexible implementation for open,
multi-vender industrial control systems. And now, Advantech provides
a Modbus-solution demonstration box as a promotional kit for engineer
training, sales presentation and new product seminars. It demonstrates
an unmanned control room application with several key devices.
For example, it will simulate the ADAM-5511, a PC-based programmable
controller with a Modbus interface, integrating field signal for
data acquisition and control, such as temperature, fire and security
management. The ADAM-4572 is a serial-to-Ethernet data gateway
with a Modbus protocol, enabling field status from the ADAM-5511
up to company data. And the Modbus/TCP OPC Server is a data exchange
driver between Modbus devices and HMI software, easily assisting
users to integrate their SCADA system.
As a complete package, users can directly operate their system
from local panels on the system chassis after turning on the power.
Furthermore, users can also integrate this system with HMI operations
after mapping the data table on the OPC Server. In short, this
Modbus demo box is the best beginning for learning or promoting
