Heating Up In Hannover

Advantech struts it's stuff and looks for new partners in Germany

Advantech joins other e-industry leaders from around the world as it visits Hannover, Germany from April 23-28. Showcasing several cutting-edge products, Advantech will be seeking out new business partners at the exhibition, and, considering the caliber of these latest projects, it is likely many new alliances will be conceived.

Included in the fleet of products making their debut at the fair are:

  • New System-on-Modules (SOM) series. Advantech's System On Module provides a ready-to-use and flexible CPU system module with various CPU choices scalable from GX1 to Pentium III. SOM products allow embedded integrators to focus on their application’s solution board which cuts 80% of regular development and costs. These customer solution boards can either be customer designed or done with Advantech's 30-day DTOSTM (Design-to-order Service). Advantech is offering two SOM product lines, the super small SOM 144 (144-I/O pin 68 mm x 100 mm) modules and the powerful SOM-ETX (400-I/O pin 95 mm x 114 mm) module.

  • Easy Access to the E-Home. Linking together the Internet, home appliances, security systems, heating controls, e-commerce and more, Advanctech's EH-7100 brings the E-home lifestyle into reality. Equipped with a 100Base-T Ethernet port and PCMICA slot for Ethernet or IEEE802.11b wireless LAN access, this product offers the best platform for simple one-touch to the activities. Ultimate convenience and performance is ensured as the EH-7100 is supported by a high-speed broadband always-on connection and powered by a Transmeta 5400/400MHz processor. This incredible product brings the future into the home with ease. Imagine the possibilities!

  • New Generation Panel Computer Family. Pushing the limits of Panel Computer Technology, Advantech's Panel Appliance Product Division is unveiling its new line including the PPC-A120T, PPC-105T and PPC-S153. The PPC-A120T features an on-board, low-power NS GX1 CPU, easily removeable HDD and PCMICA modules and highly durable aluminum die-cast housing, making it one of the fine products on the market. The PPC-105T brings the best of all Advantech's past products together in one. It features a low-power NS Geode GX1 CPU, high-brightness LCD SVGA disply, on-board 16-bit Sound Blaster compatible audio controller, 128 MB on-board SDRAM capacity, auto sensing 10/100Base-T Ethernet controller and a compact, 61.5 mm, flame-resistant chassis. Finally, Advantech presents its new ultra-slim series with the PPC-S153. Perfect for space-sensitive applications, this product occupies less that 50mm in depth and can support an Intel Pentium III CPU up to 1 GB and 3D display engine with 8 MB VRAM. It also sports front panel built-in speakers making it a compelling solution in multimedia applications.
