 Combining
the expertise of open, embedded hardware and software design as
well as web-enabled HMI/SCADA software, Advantech now offers a
cost-effective operator interface terminal, the WebOIT-642. The
Advantech WebOIT-642 is designed for legacy machine builders and
controller vendors to enable local or remote monitoring, diagnostics
and maintenance for their systems anytime, anywhere. Through versatile,
pre-built controllers or I/O device drivers, the WebOIT-642 retrieves
real-time data values from controllers and publishes them with
a dynamic graphic display to the intranet or the Internet in real
time!
Specifications
The WebOIT-642 integrates with an Intel StrongARM™ 1110 RISC kernel,
5.7" STN LCD display of one quarter VGA (320x240) resolution,
32MB DRAM on board and a resistive touchscreen. Operating at 206MHz,
the StrongARM 1110 operates with 400mW power consumption only.
This makes the WebOIT-642 a fan-less small-sized operator interface
with satisfactory performance. The WebOIT-642 weighs an amazing
0.8kg (1.76lbs). Its thickness is only 40mm (1.57"). Nevertheless,
the WebOIT-642 is still so robust that its front bezel can comply
with NEMA4/IP65 requirements. The lightweight and compact form
factor facilitates installation in limited room space.

Functions
The WebOIT-642 not only features traditional HMI/SCADA function,
for example, dynamic graphic display, alarm management, real-time
trending and historical trending, recipe management but also enables
these functions to work on the Internet. That means, users can
get the same dynamic graphic display, alarm or trend at internet
explorer and they are real-time. For example, if customers change
ON/OFF button locally, other users can get this change at remote
side at the same time. If users do control from remote side, the
local user can get this change at local side also.
The WebOIT-642
all-in-one solution is easy to install and allows users to be
up and running quickly. Included in the package is a high-performance
operator terminal that can be used in applications ranging from
simple replacement of hardwired panels to full function operator
panels requiring complex display objects with multiple menus.
