IPPC-950 Integrates both "Beauty and the Beast" for PC-based Control

As slim as 100 mm and with a robust stainless steel structure, Advantech's IPPC-950 flat panel PC incorporates all beauty of a powerful computer into a slim but rugged chassis. It is specially designed to perform reliably in harsh environments. It features 15" LCD, touchscreen, rugged construction, mul-timedia networking, modular design and expansion capabilities. This slim IPPC-950 not only fits almost anywhere, but also serves as an ideal HMI solution for all PC-based control systems.

Pentium®-based Performance

The IPPC-950 accepts processors up to Pentium® MMX 233 MHz. It also accommodates one 2.5" hard disk drive (up to 128 MB SDRAM), one slide-mounted floppy disk drive and one CD-ROM.

15" LCD Display

The 15" XGA TFT LCD provides resolution up to 1024 x 768. The 110?view-ing angle makes it ideal for any applica-tion in which users require an angled vantage point. Its industrial grade lumi-nance of 200 cd/m 2 maximum is three time brighter than that in normal note-books. The backlight lifetime of 25,000 hours yields nearly 3 years of 24-hour non-stop operation.

Touchscreen

The analog resistive touchscreen pro-vides an intuitive user interface with a 35 million touch lifetime.

Rugged Construction

The IPPC-950 performs with utmost re-liability even in the harshest environ-ments. Both its back case and chassis are made of heavy-duty stainless steel. The aluminum front panel meets NEMA4/12 and IP65 industrial stan-dards. Strengthened glass protects the LCD from damage. The chassis body is corrosion-proof, and needs no paint at all. These outstanding features make the IPPC-950 the toughest solution for even the harshest operating environments.

Sound Multimedia Platform

The IPPC-950 includes a side-mounted CD-ROM drive, on-board Sound Blaster processor, and two internal speakers. Its back panel interface includes a game port, and microphone-in, line-in and speaker-out connectors. The IPPC-950 is perfect for multimedia-rich applications.

Networking Proficiency

An on-board Ethernet controller en-ables 100/10Base-T interface connection.

Modular Design

The IPPC-950 has a modular design which allows easy maintenance and effortless upgrading. Major components can be disassembled and replaced in a few simple steps.

Expansion Capabilities

An additional slot inside the IPPC-950 accepts one PCI/ISA expansion card, from the rear. This expansion allows users to add peripherals of their choice. Two universal serial bus (USB) connectors ensure easy upgrading to the next generation of USB peripherals. Four COM ports provide connections to various external peripherals

Efficient Cooling System

After conducting thermal flow experiments, the design engineers decided to place two cooling fans in the top cover. This design ensures more reliable operation for the system.

Customized Panel
