The Choice Among Multi-slot Pentium^®III Industrial Grade Panel Computers

In the industrial computer market, there is always a need for compact yet versatile all-in-one systems. As CPU performance rapidly increases, and advanced application design and system requests demand flexibility, most of the current products available cannot fulfill the needs of the customer. Customers often must make a choice between using bulky industrial computer chassis and backplanes or sacrificing necessary functions by applying an existing vendor's very limited, proprietary solutions.

Now Advantech offers our customers a new line of 12" and 15" multi-slot PentiumR III ready industrial-grade panel systems-the IPPC-9120 and 9150. This new line of rugged functional computers support Intel Socket 370 PentiumRIII processors up to 850 MHz and Celeron processors up to 700 MHz, which give users the flexibility to choose a well matched processor for their performance needs to power a variety of demanding applications. Furthermore, this new line of products also comes enhanced with two expansion slots, one PCI and one PCI/ISA combined. Customers can put I/O cards, ICOM or both simultaneously to maximize the system's functionality for machine control, environmental monitoring and more.
