As
the world's largest industrial trade show came to a close in Hannover,
Germany on April 28th, Advantech concluded a very successful event.
Advantech gave a clear picture of how mechanical engineering,
electrical engineering and information technology are quickly
converging, and how rapid advances in automation technology are
playing a major role in these changes. The entire show offered
a unique insight into many of the latest trends, technologies
applications and solutions across the industry.

Advantech made
a strong impression at the event from its 75mē booth in the Information
Technology Hall. Most customers and prospects were able to specifically
discuss each of their unique applications. We secured new contacts
and potential partnerships around the globe.

Presentations
"Advancing
eAutomation" was the theme of Advantech's booth. Continuous presentations
with audio-visual demonstrations on a large plasma screen attracted
people to the venue to discuss opportunities and applications
with web-enabled Automation. Flexibility, speed and quality are
what count in today's tough and competitive environment and Advantech
has the solutions. Advantech presented a full range of new eAutomation
products for web based automation and A-Studio, WebLink / WebOIT
became the centre of much interest. A successful introduction
of the TPC series lead to many potential business opportunities
and projects in various fields. The ADAM-5000 TCP Ethernet IO
System also attracted a lot of visitors who were looking into
Ethernet connectivity.
European Offices Meet
Advantech's European Distributor Conference was also
held at the same time in facilities next to the fairgrounds. Partners'
interest excelled all expectations and business looks very promising
for the future. News about Advantech's services in B2B, BTOS,
e.RMA inspired distributors and encouraged efficient structures
and cost effective business partnerships in Europe.

Closing...
The 2001 Hannover Industrial Fair was a resounding
success for Advantech and an excellent step in the evolution of
a customer driven company on its way to a global leadership in
web-enabled Automation.
