Advantech's approach to rugged designs for extreme environment includes wide temperature range testing with a temperature profile of -20 ~ 80ºC for Phoenix Gold, and -40 ~ 85ºC for Phoenix Platinum. Advantech's vibration and shock testing is in accordance with IEC60068 testing procedures. All products, from the smallest form factor SBC to a complete system with a 20-inch display, are required to be validated in the vibration and shock resistance testing. To protect against moisture, corrosive gas, salt or dust, Advantech offers automated conformal coating services and it uses acrylic resin or silicon, and follows IPC-610D regulations to generate consistent, adjustable coating thickness.
With these stringent and extensive testing protocols, Advantech ensures that its products, from board to system level, meet the requirements of extended temperature operation, ruggedness specifications, reliability and durability for mission-critical applications under extreme and rapidly changing environments.
