3.7" Military-grade Ultra Rugged Mobile Computer |
Advantech’s Industrial Automation Group introduces a new
ultra rugged mobile computer, the PWS-8033M. This handheld
computer features an XScale PXA270 624 Mhz processor with a
3.7" transflective VGA TFT LCD, GPS, 802.11b/g WiFi and
built-in Bluetooth, providing a fully-functional
communication device for any outdoor application. Moreover,
certified by military-grade MIL-STD-810F and MIL-STD-461E
standards, the PWS-8033M is ultra-rugged, guaranteeing total
protection against dirt, dust and even complete immersion in
water.

EKI-4654R,
an IEC61850-3 compliant managed Ethernet switch for grid
automation applications. IEC61850-3 certification ensures
environmental and EMI immunity of network devices used in
substations and allows the EKI-4564R to be interconnected
with a myriad of devices, providing reliable consistency in
power & energy applications.

our suns energy requires highly efficient solar cells and
advanced sun tracking systems. Sun tracking allows the solar
cells to face the strongest sunlight while it is available,
so they need to be able to detect the strength of sunlight
in different directions to determine the best location for
the strongest sunlight.

A stator is
the stationary part of a rotor system, such as in an
electric generator or electric motor. External rotor stator
winders are used for automated coil winding in the
manufacturing of such devices, such as portable electric
tools, small electric generators, and electromotors in
vehicle engines. This external rotor stator winding machine
was built with the help of Advantech, combining motion
control and HMI to provide animated displays and self
diagnostic functions.
