Advantech has an immediate opening for an IoT Sales Representative (IoT-SR). We will provide you the tools, and training; in exchange, what we’re asking for you to bring is an optimistic attitude, creativity, and commitment to learning and placing your full attention and skills to the challenge of generating radical new growth through account development and sales leveraging Advantech’s industry proven product and services.

The ideal IoT-SR candidate must be a self-starter, highly motivated, great communicator, team player who is interested in technology and today’s computing trends. As an IoT-SR, you will be part of a new sales organization. One where we envision a winning team, where you’ll be rewarded as an individual contributor, and excel within a larger team. Given this is a new sales organization, we are looking for IoT-SR candidates who are willing to devote a minimum of 18-months to the role. The position is in sunny southern California, in Advantech’s Irvine office.

The primary responsibility of the IOT-SR team is focused on new account penetration, net new sales revenue growth and market expansion. The IoT-SR will focus on the demand creation engines within Advantech and take sales leads, and turn them into profitable new business. Metrics for success include; lead conversion into new opportunities, accurately managing the pipeline and forecasted revenue, tracking and converting the opportunities into new sales revenue, and exhibiting monthly, quarterly and yearly sales growth.

The IoT-SR will be responsible, but not limited to the following:

• Responsible for researching, identifying, and generating weekly new opportunities using incoming demand generation tools, cold mapping phone calls, social media platforms, and email.
• Building, qualifying, and managing an accurate and growing sales funnel using as well as other tools.
• Close collaboration with the Channel, Product Sales Management, and Key Account Sales organizations in the development of account strategies, and demand generation act

Educational Level:
• The ideal candidate would have shown a career progression that included 1 to 3 years of experience as an Inside Sales Representative.
• Preferred candidate should be able to demonstrate that they are cable of account development (prospecting, research, and qualifying techniques).
• Consistent delivery of exceptional results in fast-paced, complex sales environments.
• Knowledge and understanding of sales process as well as customer psychology.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to use MS Office tools as part of detailed reporting requirements.
• Training in consultative selling is helpful.

• Highly motivated individual who is dynamic and inspirational. Needs to execute sometimes tedious work of constant demand generation and appointment setting through call-mapping, and email campaigns.

• Highly ethical individual with uncompromising integrity. Line-driven, enthusiastic and energetic.
• Capable of thriving in fast paced environment with multiple stakeholders and expectation points. Must be able to effectively manage expectations comfortably and effectively across multiple domains.
• Detail-oriented individual with exceptional communication, listening and problem analysis/resolution skills; adept at managing multiple projects and demands simultaneously.
• Recognizes own strengths and weaknesses; accepts responsibility for mistakes; able to improve individual performance in response to feedback.
