Advantech has an immediate opening within our key account sales force, as a Key Account Manager located in the Northeast US, ideally in the NY / NJ area. The ideal candidate will be aggressive and self-motivated, exhibiting the ability to manage assigned key accounts. The candidate will be required to identify and review engineering specifications, coordinate and propose product configurations, negotiate sales and service contracts, while interfacing with OEM customers and channel sales partners.

Summary Description

The Key Account Manager is responsible for:
• Developing both new and existing key accounts
• Interfacing with channel partners and key account contacts
• Growing the assigned key account base year over year
• Exceeding quota
• Preparation and delivery of OEM proposals within the key accounts
• Candidate should live in the Pacific Northwest, to properly cover a set of key accounts located assigned within the marketplace

Skill Requirements & Responsibilities

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills are required
• Successful candidate should have 3 to 5 years sales experience
• BS degree is preferred
• Self-starter, team player, positive attitude who can work independently from a home office without constant supervision
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 35% of the time
• Understanding embedded systems, industrial PC (hardware and software) is a plus
