Advantech presents the ADAM-6052, a 16-channel source
type digital input/output module. With 8 digital
inputs, and 8 source type digital outputs, the ADAM-6052
is aimed at meeting the demands for simpler control
system architectures. The 1 A source type digital
output signal is highly suitable for applications
such as solenoid valve control in chemical plants,
or any other kind of low current applications that
need to be carefully controlled. |

Advantech's
popular flat panel monitor product line of
industrial grade monitors is once again extended,
this time with an economical 15" panel
monitor for those with a tight budget and
tight space. The FPM-2150G compares to a commercial
grade monitor in price, but has industrial
grade functions for installation in rugged
environments. Its specifications include a
NEMA4/IP65 certification, stainless steel
chassis and Al-Mg front-panel, 15" XGA
color TFT LCD screen, direct VGA, and support
for various types of mounting.

Customer
feedback and market demand for high-speed digital
I/O cards led to the release of the new PCI-1755
32-channel digital I/O card, which is capable of
80 MB/s for 32-bit transfers at 20 MHz. For data
length smaller than the 16 KB FIFO, a transfer rate
of 120 MB/s for 32-bit transfers at 40 MHz can be
realized. |

Advantech's
ADAM-8000 series has been successfully implemented
into a oil drain automation system. The customer's
previous system provided inaccurate feedback and
inefficient facility control. For the new automation
system the customer required the following functions:
Independent control function in each loading rack
(Independent Processor), Compact-size system, Loading
data input/output, Explosion-proof safety mechanism,
and Both auto & manual / total & compartment
loading control. The project includes a total of
69 Oil and LPG truck loading terminals. Each terminal
needs accurate feedback control and explosion-proof
panel. Controllers are set inside of the panel. |

To
get rid of the bottleneck in a production
line for multimedia audio controller ICs,
an automated quality assurance system was
implemented using Advantech's PCI-1670 GPIB
card, a PCI-1240 motion control card and an
ACP-4001 Industrial PC. For the new system
the customer required full integration with
instrument and fixture, improved accuracy,
and automatic function test within 3 seconds.
The new system was able to meet all these
demands. |
