New Configure-To-Order 15” and 17” Panel PC’s for Greater Flexibility

Advantech is leading the world in the latest design of panel PCs. To give customers greater flexibility in their choice of product and to enable to adjust their designs based on their requirements, Advantech is launching the PPC-8150 and PPC-8170 15” and 17” panel PCs.

Advantech’s Configure-to-order-service (CTOS) enables users to build the best solution for their business by selecting such items as the motherboard, memory, hard drive, power supply and other items. Not only does CTOS provide customers with the flexibility to choose their own hardware it also promises fast delivery since all of the components have already been designed to work with each other so there’s no waiting for engineers to test the specific configuration;ease of maintenance ensures that in the event of a difficulty solutions are provided quickly, so there is minimal downtime; finally, by choosing the components that suit them best costs can be better controlled to ensure that only the required components are delivered with the PPC and that there are no wasted features.

With their mini-iTX motherboards, the latest models have a modular design which allows them to be modified quickly using Advantech’s Configure-to-order-service (CTOS). There are three motherboards available: the AIMB-224, the AIMB-273 and the AIMB-274.

The AIMB-224, with AMD eTrinity 2.7giga hertz Quadro Core CPU processor ensures great CPU & GPU performance, delivering smooth video output and full HD hardware acceleration and multiple display functionality. As well as efficiency, the AIMB-224 provides a wide range of I/O ports including eight USB ports, six serial ports and one PCIe eight expansion card slot.

The AIMB-273 with its Intel Core i7/5/3/Celeron mobile processor provides a combination of high performance and low power consumption that is truly remarkable. The AIMB-273 also supports iManager and SUSIAccess configuration software. In terms of its design, it provides four USB three ports and two serial ports in the rear, and of course, one mini PCIe, one CFast and one PCIe sixteen expansion slot. The AIMB-273 also supports multiple video output and triple display functions.

The AIMB-274, which uses the Intel 4th Gen Core i Haswell Quad /Dual Core 3.5GHz processor. With enhanced Intel HD graphics technology, the 3D video display performance is a great improvement. High speed I/O connectivity is another highlight of this model; it comes with four USB three ports and two serial ports in the rear, two mini PCIe slots with one shared with mSATA, 8-bits GPIO and HD Audio support.

Advantech’s PPC-8150 & PPC-8170 are a series of 15 inch & 17inch panel IPCs with eco-friendly LED backlights with ultra-endurable lifetimes of up to 50,000hrs, and resolutions of 1024 by 768 & 1280 by 1024. With IP65 certified 5-wire resistive touch panels, the PPC-8000 series ensures that the monitors are very reliable and can withstand harsh environments. At the back of the PPC-8000 series are 100-to-240V A/C and 12-to-30V D/C power inputs which cover most industrial requirements. The expandability of the PPC-8000 series is also essential and they are equipped with an additional optional 4 x COM ports and 1 x PCIe expansion slot, so users can allocate the I/O ports according to their demand.
