Six Advantech Industrial Automation Group (IAG) Products Win Taiwan Excellence Awards

Advantech are pleased to announce that six products - Advantech WebAccess, FPM-7181W/7211W, TPC/SPC-1840WP, APAX-5620, EKI-3000 Series and ADAM-6200 Series- won much coveted 2013 Taiwan Excellence Awards. This is twice the number that won last year’s award and demonstrates Advantech’s ability to produce exceptional products for a range of industries.

Advantech WebAccess Advantech WebAccess is a smart web browser-based software package for human-machine interfaces (HMI) and supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA). It provides: Google Maps Integration, Remote Device Monitoring and Health Check, Animated Graphics, Real-time Data, Control, Trends, advanced Alarms and Log management, Multiple Display Ratios and a 4000+ Symbol Library available through a standard web browser. WebAccess is built around the latest internet technologies and its unique open architecture for: SCADA node, project node, client node and mobile node for users to easily manage projects.

FPM-7181W and FPM-7211W FPM-7181W in 18” and FPM-7211W in 21” series are the new generation of high-performance multi-touch screen monitors Advantech provides. Truly flat widescreen and a ratio of 16:9 provide 40% more screen area than 4:3 displays. OSD control pad on rear panel provides convenience of display settings and also prevent false touch. Customized user interface and simplified control steps provide a more flexible and intuitive operating behavior thus enhance productivity in factories. FPM series are with robust design with SECC chassis and magnesium alloy IP65 compliance front panel with various I/O port support and selection, providing light but durable monitors.

TPC-1840WP/ SPC-1840WP The TPC-1840WP/ SPC-1840WP and TPC-2140WP are 18” and 21” widescreen multi-touch panel PCs, specifically designed to provide easier operation and boost productivity in manufacturing control environments, building automation and other HMI applications.These iF Award winning devices, have been honored with the award, not only for their appearance but their commitment to being extremely intuitive to use. With their two pale blue soft-keys that, when lightly touched, give users quick and easy access to the information they need, the TPC-1840WP/ SPC-1840WP and TPC-2140WP allow the convenient viewing of information. To further aid this, both models feature widescreens with a ratio of 16:9, providing 40% more screen area than 4:3 displays. Furthermore, with the addition of multi-touch capabilities they provide even greater control and viewing of the information shown in Advantech’s SUSIAccess and WebAccess management software.

APAX-5620 APAX-5620 is an innovative product of Advantech PAC (Programmable Automation Controller) team in recent years. It combines the latest PC technology and open system architecture to provide customer a new option of controller. It is a long history for introducing PC/IT technology into industrial automation world. However, nowadays the reliability of embedded computer was accepted in the market by the highly integrated and low power CPU technology. Advantech’s PAC team is a product division which leverages embedded computing technology combined with the 20 year old DA&C capability, to offer customer a highly integrated and easy-to-use open control platform.

EKI-3000 series Ethernet Switch and Media Converters are the first to market with dedicated priority ports, up to 60% reduction in power consumption, and smart diagnostics, making them ideal for a host of industrial automation functions. The Gigabit Ethernet of EKI-3728 and EKI-3725 provides users with the fastest possible data transmission speeds for high definition video streaming and the ability to sustain constantly high traffic loads. For applications that don’t require the benefits of Gigabit Ethernet, Advantech has also launched the EKI-3525 and 3528 models which have 100Mbps Ethernet. As for the media converters, EKI-3541M/3541S is an enhanced Ethernet to fiber-optic converter.

ADAM-6200 series In order to fulfill the transition of requirements and future applications, Advantech releases ADAM-6200 series, a new selection of Ethernet I/O family comprised of analog I/O, digital I/O and relay modules. ADAM-6200 series module possesses plenty of advanced features whatever the evolution of hardware design and what’s worth expecting for user is a variety of useful software functions to make it effective in the application field. With new design and strong capabilities, the ADAM-6200 can be an-integrated I/O solution in Ethernet control systems.

Taiwan Excellence was set up in 1992 and is the highest accolade in Taiwan, awarded to products that encapsulate innovative value. Its purpose is to encourage Taiwanese industries to upgrade and incorporate ‘innovalue’ into their products. This year, the 22th Taiwan Excellence, there were 1,281 products from 504 companies nominated to participate in the annual award program. There are 514 products won the 22th Taiwan Excellence Award Products. Advantech had sixteen products which were honored with this award and six of them came from the Industrial Automation Group.
