Advantech Launches Seventeen New PCI Serial Communication Cards
The Industrial Automation Group of Advantech has launched four new serial communication cards (1, 2, 4 and 8 ports) that use the PCI interface and come with a new low profile form factor and surge, EFT and isolation protection.
For use in confined spaces, some of the PCI 16xx communications cards are designed with a low profile and they all have a universal PCI connector that is compatible with both 3.3 V and 5 V signaling. Finally, the serial input speed of the card reaches up to 921.6kbps with support for any baud rate and can be manually configured by the user to meet their own needs. Cards with RS-485 also provide Automatic Direction Control for enhanced data transmission.
To give user’s even greater confidence these new PCI cards also come with a five year warranty and support the following operating systems 32/64 bit Windows 2000/XP/ Vista/ 7, Windows CE 5.0/6.0, Linux and QNX.
