Taipei, Taiwan - October, 2008 - Advantech's Industrial Automation Group has introduced a versatile new 4U 19" rackmount industrial workstation with 5.7" VGA TFT, the IACP-4000D. With a built-in ATX industrial motherboard, Intel Pentium 4 (or Celeron D) processor, up to 4 GB DDR2 SDRAM, and a cost-effective design, IACP-4000D is one of the most rugged, feature-rich and affordable industrial workstations on the market.

The industrial ATX motherboard on the IACP-4000D reduces interconnections between the backplane and CPU card, enhancing the platforms reliability. Also, the dual filtered front-accessible cooling fans provide optimal, streamlined airflow with easy access. Furthermore with 8 extension slots (5 x PCI, 2 x ISA, 1 x PCIe), IACP-4000D is easily implemented in limited space environments, such as in test and measurement stations & machinery applications.

A 5.7" TFT LCD provides a convenient way to monitor applications without the need for an external HMI device. Furthermore, the IACP-4000D provides multiple standard communication ports (1 x RS-232/422/485, 2 x Gigabit Ethernet ports, front accessible USB 2.0 and PS/2 ports, VGA , and 4 USB 2.0 ports on rear I/O) allowing connectivity with a variety of peripherals. IACP-4000D also supports Microsoft Windows NT/XP/2000.
