Advantech Introduces New 7-Slot PAC with Intel Atom CPU

Advantech’s Industrial Automation Group, have released a new model to their family of ADAM products. The ADAM-5560 has been designed be the most flexible Programmable Automation Controller for control tasks which require an industrial PCs performance and a PLCs robustness.

To help System Integrators develop applications for their customers, the ADAM-5560 comes with an Intel Atom 1.1GHz processor and supports Microsoft Visual Studio.Net programming, giving developers a complete set of development tools.

For end-users, the ADAM-5560 supports Multiprog KW and five IEC-61131-3 programming languages designed for programming PLCs and are the two textual languages Instruction List (IL) and Structured Text (ST); two graphical languages Ladder Diagram (LD) and Function Block Diagram (FBD) plus Sequential Function Chart (SFC).

To further aid engineers of all levels the ADAM-5560 includes an integrated VGA port, which, with the aid of optional HMI software, means that users no longer need to add additional SCADA PCs into their applications.
