Group of Advantech introduces a new member
to the USB-4700 Series; the USB-4716. The
USB-4716 is a multifunctional USB data acquisition
module with 16-bit resolution and a 200kS/s
sampling rate. Equipped with 16 analog input
channels, 2 analog output channels and 16
digital input/output channels, this module
features both unipolar and bipolar input ranges,
and also includes a pulse output channel.
This module has been specifically designed
within a palm-sized enclosure, making it convenient
for field use, yet powerful enough for use
as an installed data acquisition module.
The
USB-4716 comes with a unique Advantech design;
a lockable USB cable. This ensures the connectivity
of USB devices to your host system and prevents
the USB DAQ device from being removed accidentally,
allowing secure operation for critical applications.
Additionally, the USB-4716's detachable
onboard screw terminal can be connected
directly to field signals, saving money
from having to buy additional accessories,
such as cables or wirings boards.
Provided
with the USB-4716 are Advantech's ready-to-use
development utilities, such as WaveScan.
Now engineers and scientists alike can enjoy
high-quality measurement capabilities without
complex programming. Furthermore, with its
bus-powered design, no additional batteries
or power supply is required…simply connect
the module to any computer or notebook,
install the supplied software and the signal
will connect directly to the USB-4716.

user-friendly designs such as detachable
screw terminals, pin-assignments displayed
clearly on the module, bus-powered with
full driver and utility support have become
Advantech standards. Included drivers, such
as Advantech's own Scaling, Waveform, and
Storage utilities, are ready-to-use DAQ
tools requiring minimum programming effort.
The USB-4716 supports Windows 2000/XP. The
DDL, ActiveDAQ Pro and LabVIEW are all also
now available.
