Advantech Launches New 15” C1D2 Certified
Ruggedized 316L Steel Monitors

Advantech announces the release of its new 15” FPM industrial monitors designed for the harshest of environments.

Certified for use in the oil and gas industries, the Advantech FPM-8151H is Class 1, Division 2 certified meaning that it won’t cause explosions if gases, vapors and liquids are present.

With its NEMA4/IP65 protection, and the 2.8mm thick resistive glass panel the front panel prevents dust, water and oil from entering the monitor when it’s being used in temperatures ranging from -20~60⁰C. Ruggedization is completed with the inclusion of a 316L stainless steel front panel which, as well as making it hardwearing, is also suitable for use in food, beverage, chemical and pharmaceutical environments.

To increase functionality the monitor has dual function support, meaning that users can choose to control the system using either a USB or RS232 connected controller; power it using either a Phoenix or a DC jack; and the display can be connected via either VGA or HDMI ports for added versatility.

For added reliability and lower power consumption the FPM-8151H uses 5-wire and an LED backlit screens. The LED screen reduces power consumption by 22% whilst increasing brightness by 12%.
