Taipei, Taiwan, May, 2006 – Advantech has announced the latest addition to its USB family, the USB-4761. The USB-4761 is an 8-channel Relay Actuator and Isolated Digital Input module. For easy monitoring, each relay is equipped with an LED to display its on/off status. Moreover, it retains the best feature of the USB series; Plug & Play functionality, making it one of the most user friendly modules in the market today.

USB-4761 provides 8 optically-isolated digital inputs with an isolation protection of 2500 VDC for collecting digital input in noisy environments, and 8 relay actuators for serving as on/off control devices or small power switches. The form-C relay for all channels provides the normal-open or normal-close options while wiring the circuit. Furthermore, it provides a wide range of relay contact rating (up to 250 VAC@3A or 24VDC@3A) which enables even notebooks to switch the heavy load.

Eight inclusive LED indicators on the USB-4761 make troubleshooting much easier. Each LED indicates an on/off status, which informs the user immediately of any changes. Moreover, it’s detachable on-module wiring terminals free users from rewiring when applying it to other sensors or controlled machines.

USB-4761's portable and bus-powered design is very user friendly, allowing high-quality measurement capabilities without any external power source. Simply connect a USB-4761 to a computer or notebook and no additional batteries or power supply is required.
