Advantech Launches the eAutomation eXpress Mobile Exhibition Vehicle

 

Cincinnati, Ohio, May, 19, 2006 - The eAutomation Group of Advantech introduces the eAutomation eXpress mobile vehicle. The eAutomation eXpress is an informational and educational vehicle that will travel across North America to provide hands-on interaction with Advantechˇ¦s Industrial Automation products. The vehicle is a 24ˇ¦ van with active production demonstrations.

The eAutomation eXpress will have five product family demo panels featuring models from the eAutomation product line (Remote I/O Modules, Distributed I/O & Control Systems, Smart Web Ethernet I/O, Fanless PCs, Building Automation, and Serial Media Converters); Human Machine Interface product line (Flat Panel Monitors and Touch Panel Computers); Industrial Communication product line (Industrial Ethernet Switches and Media Converters, Serial to Ethernet Converters, and Serial Communication Cards); Industrial I/O product line (USB Data Acquisition & Control Modules, Data Acquisition Cards, Signal Conditioning Modules, and GPIB Cards); and Industrial PC product line (Single Board Computers, Passive Backplanes, and Industrial Motherboards).

There will also be four interactive demos showcasing Advantech eAutomationˇ¦s solutions for PC-Based Machine Automation, PC-Based Process Automation, Data Acquisition Solutions, and Industrial Networking Automation. The Industrial Networking demo uses a train station marquee control featuring an IPC-9151G with Advantech Studio, ADAM-4571W, ADAM-4577, ADAM-6521, and the ADAM-6541. The Data Acquisition demo uses an environmental monitoring system featuring the UNO-2170 with XPe and Astudio, ADAM-4117 (Power Line and Humidity Monitoring), ADAM-6066 (Flow Measurement), USB-4718 (Temperature Monitoring), and a PCM-3725 (Pump Control). The PC-Based Process Automation demo uses a boiler control room featuring the ADAM-5510KW, ADAM-6066, ADAM-4572, ADAM-4019+, ADAM-6520, ADAM-4055, along with the TPC-1570H. The PC-Based Machine Automation demo uses a machine control system featuring the ACP-400 industrial PC with redundant power supply, dual hard drives with RAID 1, Windows XP, AStudio SCADA software, KW softlogic control engine, PCI-1716 (PID control), PCI-1756 (high-speed digital I/O control), PCI-1761 (light control), and ADAM-3011 (temperature monitoring).
