Advantech Launches New 15” Touch Panel Computer Intel^® Atom^® Processor

Advantech announces the release of its new 15” Touch Panel Computer Intel Atom Processor designed to operate in very low and very high temperatures.

The Energy Star compliant TPC-1551H Touch Panel computer has been designed to work in temperatures as low as -20°C (-4°F) and as high as 60°C(140°F) making it ideal for machine and factory automation and the power and energy industries.

Added protection against dust is provided by a new gasket between the touch screen and the metal bezel whilst protection against electrical shorts, surges and ground loops is provided by 2KV isolation protection on the TPC-1551H’s serial ports.

Since the TPC-1551H uses standard PC architecture it is able to support Windows 7, Windows XP embedded, WinCE and Linux, making it suitable for integrating with existing machinery and systems.

In addition to the well specified TPPC-1551H, there is also a low cost TPPC-1550H option which comes with the screen gasket but not the wide operating temperature range or the serial port isolation.
