Three Advantech Products win Taiwan Excellence Awards

Advantech is pleased to announce that three products - FPM-8151H, UNO-4600 series and ADAM-6100 series - won much coveted 2012 Taiwan Excellence Awards.

The FPM-8151H is a 15" flat-panel industrial monitor that has been specifically engineered to operate in the harshest of environments. To meet the requirements of extreme conditions, it has NEMA4/IP65 certification, and a 2.8mm thick resistive glass panel. The front panel prevents dust, water and oil from entering the monitor when it's being used in temperatures ranging from -20~60°C (-4~140°F). Ruggedization is completed with the inclusion of a 316L stainless steel front panel which, as well as making it hardwearing, is also suitable for use in food, beverage, chemical and pharmaceutical environments. For added reliability and lower power consumption, the FPM-8151H uses 5-wire and an LED backlit screens. The LED screen reduces power consumption by 22% whilst increasing brightness by 12%.

The UNO-4600 series are IEC 61850-3 and IEEE 1613 compliant Substation Automation Platforms with a compact 2U rackmount design, rear wiring, and front panel LED indicators. Their fanless embedded designs with environmental and EMI immunity, advanced computing technology and remote management capabilities deliver robustness and reliability, and serve as excellent computing platforms in power and energy applications

Advantech's ADAM-6100 series is a new line of Industrial Ethernet Remote I/O modules, including ADAM-6117, ADAM-6118, ADAM-6150, ADAM-6151, ADAM-6156, and ADAM-6160. Either with EtherNet/IP or PROFINET protocol for customers to build into the control system, the ADAM-6100 series is designed for isolation protection and daisy chain connection, allowing users to extend their systems with fewer wires and transfer data reliably and faster for industrial automation applications.

Taiwan Excellence was set up in 1992 and is the highest accolade in Taiwan, awarded to products that encapsulate innovative value. Its purpose is to encourage Taiwanese industries to upgrade and incorporate ‘innovalue’ into their products.
