Taipei, Taiwan - February, 2009 – The Industrial Automation Group of Advantech has announced a driver update for USB-4700 series modules which adds support for Windows CE 5.0/6.0 and Linux 2.6 operating systems. For users’ convenience, all new purchases of a USB-4700 series product comes with a complete software support package, including drivers, utilities and platform-building tools, which helps implement USB-4700 series in many embedded systems, such as testing, lab, field, and gaming. USB-4700 series provides the same application interface and utilities across all operating systems. Thus, it is easy to transfer applications from one platform to another and still have the same consistent user interface for all Advantech DAQ devices. Moreover, for platform builders using Windows CE, Advantech provides a tool with all the settings and driver support for USB-4700 series products.
