Advantech Introduces New Intel^® Atom™ D510 Processor-based Fanless DIN-rail PCs: UNO-1172A and UNO-1172AE

The Industrial Automation Group of Advantech has released two new DIN-rail automation computers: UNO-1172A and UNO-1172AE. With Intel® Atom™ dual core D510 processor, 2G DDR2 RAM and Energy Star Certification, UNO-1172A/AE provide excellent computing power using minimum power.

The UNO-1172A/AE are also equipped with 3 x Gigabit Ethernet ports, 4 x serial ports (2 x internal RS-232 pin headers and 2 x RS-232/422/485 ports), 4 x external USB 2.0 and 1 x Mini PCIe slot to support versatile expansion. Three Gigabit Ethernet interfaces with teaming support allow users to configure their network communication with more flexibility and increased transmission redundancy. The onboard Mini PCIe can also expand communication ability through WLAN and Fieldbus cards. In addition, 2 x PC/104+ and 1 x Mini PCI slots are also available for the UNO-1172AE to increase its expansion capability.

Furthermore, the UNO-1172A/AE are designed with innovative system diagnostic functions. The system diagnosis and remote power control functions enable users to control and monitor the system remotely through digital input lines, including remote reset and power on/off. The remote event trigger provides alarm notices for excessive temperature, voltage, battery power failure, and power status on through the onboard LED indicator and through the digital output line.

The UNO-1172A/AE support a number of operating systems and software applications such as Microsoft® Windows® WES 2009, Win7, Windows® XP Embedded, Windows® XP, WinCE 6.0, and embedded Linux. To perform essential remote maintenance tasks, Advantech DiagAnywhere Agent is also available.
