New APAX Series EtherNet/IP Remote I/O Solution

The Industrial Automation Group of Advantech is proud to introduce a new high-density EtherNet/IP communication coupler as part of the growing APAX product line, APAX-5072. The APAX-5072 features ODVA (Open DeviceNet Vendors Association) authorization, allowing it to link with any EtherNet/IP master to easily build a reliable EtherNet/IP remote I/O solution.

APAX-5072 features two RJ-45 ports with the same IP address for building daisy chains, which allows users to connect remote I/O devices directly without an additional Ethernet switch. It also provides dynamic configuration allows users to configure different channels with different types and ranges in one module. Moreover, leveraging the APAX features of high density I/O, flexibility, scalability, and hot swap functionality, APAX-5072 is able to connect APAX digital I/O modules (max. 768 points) or analog I/O modules (max.192 points) to build remote I/O systems for fulfilling PLC or control application needs. In addition, APAX-5072 easily creates EDS file (*.L5K) I/O configuration file by utility and leverage it within application software. APAX-5072 coupler has large connecting capacity and able to connect with any EtherNet/IP master, such AB PLC, effectively allowing users to build cost-effective EtherNet/IP remote I/O systems.
