The students’ dormitory at the National Sun Yat-sen University is a six-floor building in Taiwan with residential quarters and restaurants that accommodates about 700 people. The existing hot water system includes 2 diesel-fired boilers and a hot water container. As the existing diesel-fired system is not efficient and the annual budget for purchasing oil fuel has become a financial burden, the school has decided to add a heat pump system to be connected with the existing pipelines in order to save energy.

They are sometimes located in dark areas that aren’t centrally located without a lot of pedestrian traffic nearby, which means they can frequently be prime locations for criminals to take advantage of commuters. But as many mass transit systems are being modernized, added security measures can easily be included to ensure improved safety and security.
