TPC-1780H Wins Control Engineering China’s
"Product of the Year" Award for HMI Devices

Taipei, Taiwan – December 2009 – Advantech's TPC-1780H recently received the "Product of the Year" Award for HMI devices from magazine, on Nov. 4, 2009. The TPC-1780 was recognized for it’s innovate technology, excellent functionality and ultra slim design.

TPC-1780H is a versatile fanless Touch Panel PC with a Core™ 2 Duo CPU, 17" SXGA TFT LCD, ultra slim design (only 93 mm depth), and die-cast aluminum front panel. TPC-1780H is one of the most rugged and thin touch panel PCs on the market, while still providing a large and vibrant 17" display.

TPC-1780H provides one expansion slot to allow RS-422/485, PCI-104, CAN-bus, and more to be connected for various application needs. Moreover, the TPC-1780H uses a low voltage processor and heat sink to achieve a reliable fanless design. With its NEMA4/IP65 front panel it is resilient enough to resist the harsh conditions of any industrial environment. Furthermore, the TPC-1780H provides multiple standard communication ports (3 x serial ports, 2 x Gigabit Ethernet LANs, 4 x USB 2.0 ports, and 2 x PS/2 and 1 x VGA) allowing connectivity with a variety of peripherals.
