The
PC-based control market is fast growing and users are seeking
new solution all the time. Advantech took advantage of this favorable
wind to launch an integrated PC-based SoftLogic control system
- the ADAM-5510/P31 in early April 1999. The ADAM-5510/P31 SoftLogic
controller, taken together with Advantech Paradym-31software,
incorporates HMI and control functions in one hardware/software
solution, eliminating unnecessary hardware and lowering system
integration costs.
The
Advantech OPC (OLE for Process Control) server is now available
for ordering and shipment. This OPC server conforms to OPC standards,
and provides immediate compatibility between Advantech I/O system
and a very wide range of application software system. Any software
application with OPC client capabilities can easily access Advantech
distributed/remote data acquisition devices, including ADAM-4000,
ADAM-5000/485 and ADAM-5000/CAN modules, through the Advantech
OPC server.
The
PCI-1753 is a 96-bit digital I/O card for the PCI bus. It can
be extended to 192 digital I/O channels by connecting it with
its extension board, the PCI-1753E. The card emulates mode 0 of
the 8255 PPI chip, but the buffered circuits offer a higher driving
capability than the 8255. The 96 I/O lines are divided into twelve
8-bit I/O ports: A0, B0, C0, A1, B1, C1, A2, B2, C2, A3, B3, and
C3. Users can configure each port as input or output via software.
LOGpen-10
is a cost effective and smart temperature data logger. Its pen-shaped
design is robust, convenient to carry and easy to install anywhere to
measure and record temperatures. LOGpen-10 connects to a PC through
an RS-232 serial port. Configuration of LOGpen-10 and downloading its
data to your computer is easily accomplished using the bundled software
utility. LOGpen-10 features outstanding resistance to water, shock and
corrosion and can thus be used in a wide variety of applications.
