Advantech Releases High Power Ethernet Switch

Advantech, a leading industrial communication solutions provider, has launched the EKI-2726FHPI, an IEEE 802.3at four port Gigabit Industrial Unmanaged Ethernet Switch with two SFP ports.

Designed to be used with high powered video surveillance equipment with the minimum amount of wiring, the EKI-2726FHPI can provide up to 30 watts of power through each 1000Mbps Ethernet port.

To ensure that the surveillance equipment remains operating, the EKI-2726FHPI includes 48VDC redundant power so that in the event of one supply failing the other will take the load. It also has reverse power protection to protect it should an accident occur when it’s being connected to the power supply.
