ISA Tech99 (Oct. 5-7, Philadelphia) concluded and was a success for Advantech. We exhibited a 6m x 6m eye catching blue tent booth that included a wide array of products. The centerpiece of the booth was Advantech's "Solution Center", promoting our theme of being a solution provider for Industrial Automation. Several stories from our Application Guide were used as the basis for product displays featuring ADAM-4000, ADAM-5000, IPPC, PPC, and other products.

The perimeter of the booth was lined with products such as the new WinCE ready IPPC-950 & 920. Showcasing these products was our partnership with Iconics Automation Software. Advantech's new "SolutionPAK" concept was used to promote the partnership by featuring Iconics software and Advantech platform products together in one bundle. Product bundles including Iconics Pocket Genesis software, Microsoft WinCE, and Advantech's IPPC generated a lot of interest and follow up requests from potential customers. WinCE/Iconics applications ranging from 50 units to 1500 units were discussed on the show floor.

The ADAM 4000 family including the ADAM-4550 Radio Modem also generated many inquiries. Discussions with potential customers ranged from remote utility power monitoring applications to environmental monitoring of bridge temperature and wind stress forces. Customers were impressed by the flexibility and cost effectiveness of Advantech's ADAM products.
