ADVANTECH Launches High Performance PCI Communication Cards

Advantech recently released an all-new series of multi-port communication cards for the PCI serial port solution. The PCI bus is a robust interconnect mechanism designed specifically to accommodate multiple high-performance peripherals for serial communication, SCSI, LAN, etc. To lead the serial communication technology, the Advantech PCI communication card comes standard with 16PCI954 UARTs containing 128-byte FIFOs which are available as an option. These upgraded FIFOs greatly reduce CPU overhead and are an ideal choice for heavy multitasking environments. In addition, these communication cards leverage the "Plug-and-Play" capability defined in the PCI 2.1 bus specification. Meanwhile, we provide the drivers for popular OS such as Windows NT, Windows 95/98 and easy-to-develop serial communication tool to minimize users' developing time.

The PCI communication card series is fit for applications such as industrial automation system, POS, Kiosk, ATM machines and other PC-based embedded systems.
